VP-45 Pelican Chair

This was 2 chairs and a chalkboard table I made for a charity auction a couple months ago to raise money for our Officer Spouses group to raise money for giving out scholarships and other nice things. It sold for $150 at the "make it, bake it, or fake it" auction. The owners are VERY happy with it and say their kids use it daily. Sounds like it's holding up well.

No plans, just sketched something out on paper and went from there. I did find that adding the rails half way down the leg really helped with stability. Mostly because the 1x2 legs weren't very thick. After adding the rails it was quite solid. Best of luck.

Aric, I'm considering making a kids sized table and chairs for our 2 year old grandson. I've just started using my Kreg jig (I've only made one project so far) but I'm nervous about making the chairs. I liked your design and was wondering if you had any plans that you worked from? If so, would you be willing to share?

Thanks,
Jeff

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
