Hello, My name is Donna, my husband is Sam. We were married just over 7 years ago. We worked beside our contractor to build our home. We moved in before the finnish work was compleated. Nothing done yet. We are in hopes of doing our trim around doors and windows, and mop boards.
i am new to wood working most of what i do is construction and rehab of houses. i like to work with wood and know that i need a lot of help in learning to build fine wood products. the reason i got a kreg jig is i am building new pull out drawers for kitchen cabinets.the kitchen was to be replaced but before the tear out i checked the frames and found them to be solid wood that i could not replace at any cost. i now have done a rehab on 50 doors and frames now i know how to paint cabinets.i was able to get hardware at cost but pull out draws are not in the buget because of the cost so i will have to make all of them from scratch.
This is Jannine from Northern Minnesota. I got an email from Kreg for a chance to win a prize, so here I am. I'm not really a regular woodworker...a "dabbler". My current project is attaching stair treads. I didn't want the fastners to show so got out my Kreg. Does anyone have any suggestions to make it easy? The bottom tread is hard to get at...any ideas or practical advice?
Am I missing something.I have been a member here for about 6 months.I come here often to see if anything has changed.Other than pictures of others projects(no plans),I see no value in this site. The same plans have been up for the entire time I have been here and they never change. What is it all about?Any help would be appreciated.
Jim Zimmerman and I live in central Iowa. Woodworking is a tension reliever and I love my Kreg Jig. I just upgraded my Jig to the K4 and any time I need to do something simply, I use the Kreg.
Hi, my name is Lawrence and I live in Springfield, MO. Born in Jolley, Iowa. H ave been doing woodwork off and on for years along with my other jobs when I had time and monies. Build a shed and bought a few woodworking tools to have something to do in my retirement. Am still working at it but having troubles with sickness and monies, but still have hopes of doing more woodworking in future. Have purchased kreg junior jig and looking forward to using it. God bless.
Hi Phil,

Where did you live before you retired? I am looking for a better (less expensive!) place to retire to. Do you like the town where you live now?

Hi, my name is Phil, I retired to La Alpujarra in southern Spain, and woodwork has always been my hobby, the problem here is the price of timber! However I decided to bite the bullet, and get started again, mainly making wooden ornaments. As a result, I started getting requests for furniture and window frames, so I purchased the Master Jig, and just completed the first window frame using the Jig, and how much easier it was. I am now looking forward to making more use of it. It is a fine addition to the Kreg Router table, I already had.
My name is Mark and I live in Florida. Love to build about anything and love my Kreg Jig. I build mostly home furnishings and some restaurant decor.
maybe some plans in detail would be nice

Hi, my name is James Bourgoin and I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I'm originally from Maine and still work there. My wife is from New Brunswick and that's where we made our home, so I travel across the border daily to work and to see my relatives. It's only a 10 minute commute. A long time ago, I used to work in a kitchen cabinet shop where I learned a lot about woodworking and finishing. I was first introduced to woodworking in High School where Shop was a regular class for me. We had a wonderful teacher and a great woodworking shop. Since, then I've been woodworking on and off in my home shop, but recently I've had more time on my hands and I've been building some projects for myself. I have purchased and used a Kreg miter gauge for my table saw and it works great. I've also purchased a Kreg router table insert for my home made router table. I'm planning on purchasing the Kreg jig soon. I've joined this community to learn more about woodworking and to gain knowledge from other woodworkers. I think doing it in a community fashion is great idea and I'm looking forward to making new friends.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
