Hi Lorrie

It's rained in Scotland most of the winter so no chance to work even with the door open. Luckily we visited our son in Melbourne Australia in December and soaked up some 40+ degree heat. I should receive the Kreg jig tomorrow then I can start some projects. Many thanks for your assistance, I will follow your advice. Cheers. Derek

Hi Derek,

Thanks for your reply.  :)  Sounds like a good plan working outside in the nice weather/sun.

You can post some photos of projects that you have done on your page.  That way people can click on your name and see your projects.  From the Home page, you click on "My Page" and then "Photos".  choose the photos that you would like to place on the community site.  click on "add photo" and you can add a comment.  You can also display it as a "project".  Just follow along the prompts and you can name your project.  It is a very nice way to keep your photos organized.  We all know that once you start building with the Kreg Jig, you add more and more.  If you would like to see projects others are making, click on their name and it will take you to their home page.  I hope this helps you.  I saw that someone else was asking to see your workshop.  It is definitely worth posting on the site.  Good luck.  Let me know if you need any help.   thanks and have a great day!    Lorrie

Long-time jig owner. Use it on almost every project I do. Love it.

Hi My name is Jin and I live in Kansas.  I am a nvuce for woodwork. I have had a interest in wood working.

I hope the Kreg jig can help me a lot.

I look forward to learning from you.

Hi I'm Chris and I live in Wild Wonderful (AND VERY SNOWY and COLD!) West Virginia. I've been here 23 years and still not used to the winters.  Originally from East Tennessee (GO BIG ORANGE1)  just got back into wood working after a 22 year break.  I liked raising my daughter more than woodworking.  She got married in June and so I'm back in the shop.  One of the first tools that I bought was the Kreg Pocket Hole Jig and the first project was a wall desk for my newlywed daughter.  I really love the pocket hole method of joining wood.

Hello Chris...........welcome !! What part of WV ??

Hello Chris,

Welcome from Western PA. I appreciate your taking time to raise your daughter! You will love using the kreg jig. I just make some picture frames with the kreg system...Turned out great...I've used kreg for many projects (cabinets and furniture)...I thought for picture frames...well they came out great! Welcome!

One of my co-workers fiance lives near Buckhannon on a farm.  I also have some other friends that move there frokm oak hill.  He and his son in law both work for one of the natural gas companies.

Thanks for the advice, Everly.
So much information!  I did see a couple of videos that helped me complete a kitchen remodel.  I had stalled at cutting a formica countertop.  I am still gathering information on the woodshop, since our weather hasn't allowed us to dig footings and get started on the actual putting the metal building up.   Thanks for your input!

Hi, my name is Kimbra, my husband Randy and I found this site while planning for building a woodshop this spring.   There are plenty of fix it jobs waiting for us to tackle after the shop is built, we are putting up a 30 by 40 metal building that will be insulated and finished inside.    We have the option of adding a loft area with stairs and would like a bathroom/ kitchenette on one end.

We live in SE Kansas on a farm/ranch where we raise cattle, crops and hay. I have taken a few woodworking classes and like to build projects that I can use or diy home improvement for us or our grown up kids.

Does anyone have any great advice for us before we dig the concrete foundation?  Anything you would do before building a woodshop?  We appreciate your response and sharing your ideas.

I will be near you at the Galaxy Lanes on 4/13/14 in Charleston for the State Bowling Tournament.
