Hey Everyone! My name is Erica, I live in the Pacific Northwest, Washington State to be more specific. I have recently discovered my passion for refinishing furniture/ anything assembled by wood & I love to build things... so far its been small things. If im not at work or sleeping, you can find me in my newly remodeled garage. I bought myself a Kreg Jig a few months ago and FINALLY got it setup and working beautifully a few weeks ago. I joined this community to share with you all what i love doing, meet some peoeple who share the same interests, get some feedback and learn some new tricks!

Thanks, everyone...appreciate getting rid of the creepy guy, LOL.
I finally went ahead and ordered some clamps as my others weren't holding too well. I have only used my jig a few times but I am SO excited about learning how to make some projects! So far I have built a 8' high 8' long, attached to the wall 3-shelf storage unit for our garage! Okay, so there are some mistakes (!) but once I painted it to match the walls it looks fabulous! I would like to build some storage for my art studio but I am afraid that's an advanced topic and I will need to search out some very good project plans.
Hello and Kia ora from New Zealand, my name is Vae and I brought quite a few items from kreg, I love woodwork projects an will start next week on building storage units and a work bench out of 4x2 for the garage. I choose kreg for the simple fact that i needed a connection system that I could pull projects apart and pack away when we move out of our rental into our new house next year. I own the kreg HD jig which works out for me. Am looking forward to sharing with the community on up coming projects, chat soon.

Roy i just acquired a Kreg router table and am very pleased with it. I had others , but they don't even come close to the Kreg one. Nice straight one piece table, others had add on ends that didn't line up proper and gave little ripples in the work piece. Very solid equipment !!   Hope this helps !!

Hi all

Just started using these pocket hole jigs having seen Norm using them in the Yankee workshop, until recently I worked in metal rather than wood because you can weld it and it is nice and regular in size ! Now taking wood as a challenge and buying wood working tools to renovate a bungalow here in the Uk.  Looking at a biscuit jointer and router table soon so will be looking for advice from the experienced wood workers.

                                                   all the best Roy

Thanks for the reply Everly, will take a look at the Kreg tables, the other I have looked at is the UJK product.

                                                all the best Roy

Hello, my name is Dean and I live in Niagara Region. Yes that is near Niagara Falls and in Wine Country :-). I have been woodworking and carving for over 25 years but just as a hobby. I did work as a finished carpenter though in my early twenties. I seen the Kreg system and knew that I wanted to get one and this year at a wood show decided to buy one and can't wait to give it a try.

Hi my name is Bill and just bought the Kreg Jig and am looking forward to building neat things. I do a little woodwork but am not great at it. I have all the plans that came with the tool and would love to get more as most of these projects do not interest me.

Thanks

Bill

Holy crap, the referenced list of projects is just to the right on THIS page.   :-)

Hello All, my name is Tony, and I am located in middle Georgia. New to the Kreg Jig and just getting used to it.

I am new at woodworking but working at it most every day.

I habe built three work benches, one end table and 4 rolling book shelves.

My biggest issue is the formula to use when selecting the proper jig setting and the proper screw depth.

If I use 3/4" wood, I set the Jig at the 3/4 mark, set the screw depth at the 3/4 mark, then I plan to use a 1 1/2 " screw.

why is it that I always get a drill through when joing two pieces together, end of the screw comes through the wood?

What am I doing incorrectly?

Tony,  use a 1 1/4 inch screw.   Also be certain that you are setting the collar correctly on the bit.

Welcome to the community.

My name is Jason.  I am from Oklahoma.  I would say I am not an expert but a very good wood worker.  I some kreg tools and love working with them.  I would say they have there uses but not on every project.  I joined the community to get knowledge and different ideas that i could accomplish.
