When will Amazon carry this Jig on their list. Currently it doesn't appear there. The reason I am asking is I live outside the US, and Amazon takes care of everything including Custom duty etc.

Ken I tried with what you said took the screw in in it appeared to be a 10 /32. When I got home it would not screw in is it a metric screw. You also need to grind the end to hit the detent on the jig still no help. What's the size.
Gary,
Take the thumb screw with you to the hardward store, to find the matching the thread pitch.
I agree, the leading end of a store bought screw need, will need to be dressed (filed), to match the existing screw tip profile.
Some metric and machine screw threads are close---
but not close enough.
Use an thread gauge to insure it's correct, or use an equivalent matching nut---
the nut must turn freely it's entire length.

Has anyone seen these jigs in the store? I have not at lowes yet.
Haven't seen any K5's at my local Menards yet. In this weeks flyer they are offering the K4 Jig Master System for $139 with a free box (500 count) of screws. They have 4 or 5 of these K4's on the shelf.
I'd sure be an unhappy camper if I purchased one of these and the new K5 appeared on the shelves next week.
It pays to be aware.
I mentioned the K5 to the guys in the tool dept at Menards and they were unaware of the new model. In fact one of the guys said he himself just purchased a K4.
The K5's have been at Rockler's for several weeks.
That's what I think my Lowe's is waiting until the last 2 k4's are gone before putting K5's on he shelf.
I work for lowes and called Kreg the other day. They told me it would be at least 6 months before Lowe's and HD get the K5.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
