Hi,

My name is Tim and I have been woodworking off and on for 15 years. For the past 5 years I have been unable to set up my shop, but I am starting back up. The area I am using is 19' by 20' but is also used for household storage. I am having trouble getting motivated, because of just feeling overwhelmed by it all. Any encouragement and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

Welcome, Tim. I have to use my garage, for drilling and assembly. But, I take my saw out in the driveway so that most of the mess stays out there. And, I do the sanding outside also. I find it relaxing, taking my mind off of all the crazy events going on in the world. I just wish I could learn to measure twice and cut once. If you ever need any help ruining perfectly good wood, just send it on over.  :-)    Find a project you like and start making some sawdust. (Someone else said that to me recently.)

I'd love to see some photos of what you've done. It's quite a challenge to find things that you want to tackle. Welcome!

Hi, my name is Dennis and live in Brooklyn, NY. I was never very good at building things. About 18 months ago I took up woodworking as a hobby and have been hooked ever since. I used the Kreg Jig to build my wife, daughter and neighbor's daughter night stands. Now I'm looking forward to that next project.

Hi - My name is Clint and I recently moved to northern Virginia.  I am a beginner when it comes to woodwork but I am anxious to learn more.  My first project was a movie screen for my home theater.  I used the basic Kreg jig - it was so easy to use it motivated me to try out new projects ... hopefully they'll turn out as good as the movie screen.

Hello, My name is Pat and I live outside of Calgary, Alberta.  I have only had my Kreg jig for about a month but I managed to build a farmhouse table and bench for my daughter.  I used pre-spun legs and 3/4" pine for the top and aprons.  It didn't turn out too bad but I would like to make another table using 2X6's with bigger legs for a more substantial look.  I look forward to seeing other plans that people have made using the Kreg Jig.

Hi, My name is Jeff. I live in SE MI. I have always liked building things for myself and other people. Anything

from decks and walls to crafts and furniture. Lately, I've been making things from re-claimed lumber, especially

old crates and pallets. A couple of my most recent projects include an outdoor coffee table and raised garden

boxes for my wife. I also made a wooden fence to surround the garden area.  I love my Kreg Jig. It has made a huge difference in the way I assemble all my projects and I look forward to sharing my work with all of you as well as seeing what everyone else is working on.

High my name is John and I live in Connecticut.  I love wood working and have just order the new K5 Kreg Jig.  I haven't worked with pocket holes before and can't wait to work on a storage chest for an indoor firewood box.  Saw the cool Lowes video but have been able to find their cut list at their web site????

Hello!

My name is Doug Hemingway from Augusta, GA.  I am a DIY'er, but I know my limits.  I enjoy building and fixing things. As you can see by my profile pic, I love motorcycles.  The wife and I take extended trips. 10 day trips are not unusual for us.  I have been tinkering with woodworking for many, many years.  My background includes welder, millwright, rigger, crane inspector, automation, computers, electrical, etc.  I have a wide interest in things and I am new to the kreg jig and looking forward to learning more and stealing project ideas :)

Hi, my name is Howard, and I live in southeastern PA.  I consider myself a novice woodworker since most of the jobs I have done were repair rather than new construction.  I don't have a Kreg jig system yet, which is why I am here - to find out what I can do with a Kreg jig kit.

Hi My name is Drew and I am from Scotland, I have been woodworking now since 2008 with quite a lot of wood turning thrown in to the mix. I am a semi qualified bench joiner (never sat the official tests but learnt on the job) but took a long break of nearly 20 years to become a salesperson selling pine furniture then latterly cars. Since I was made redundant in 2008 and spending 2 years searching for employment I eventually went back to something I love and became a full time self employed woodworker and wood turner. I was never really much for using pocket hole joinery but in today's climate and the simplicity of it makes it more and more appealing in cutting costs over using traditional jointing, like dovetails, mortise and tenon etc. I have a Kreg master system and a Kreg circular saw jig but hope to get more tools as and when I can afford it. I currently make some stepped display shelving using pocket holes for crafts people who attend craft fairs. I hope to diversify and get some design cues from people who have been using the Kreg system for a while.

Hi Howard I am starting to believe that the  uses for this jig is only limited by your imangine.  I have used it on 2x4s when buildind a heavy duty shelf in my shop and used it on small pieces of a mirror frame I built for my daughter.
