Hi... new here and new to using a Kreg jig. Though from my practice joints, I'm loving it.
I'm building this loft bed from Ana White's plans: http://ana-white.com/2012/07/plans/camp-loft-bed-stair-junior-height
The question I have -- and which I haven't been able to find an answer to anywhere -- is that there is a step where I connect 2x6 horizontal supports to the 2x4 vertical posts... both right angle and flat joints.
The plans only say "using pockethole screws" but not how many. I'm thinking it might make sense to use 3 per 2x6 (I'm using 2 per 2x4), but I really don't know. There will be glue involved too.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I would do 3 myself and if it was the length of the board I would do every 6". Hope that helps.
The screws are not to expensive so I have been doing 2 per side on boards then plugging with the plugs. sand it good and paint it plugs disappear with a good coat of paint. But I also have a tendency to over build, Especially when it comes to something my grand kids will be sleeping on!
Hi James, thanks...
So you're saying you are putting them on opposite sides of the board on each joint? I had actually been considering that myself... I'm putting my 9 year old daughter on this thing, don't want it falling down :)
I built a bed for my spare room and used a ton of screws it is not coming apart! I think the screws out way the wood check the pictures under my page

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
