I bought the Kreg push stick for safety and convenience. I got the safety part but the convenience part is provided by the magnet that is use to store the push stick on the side of the table saw. Well the magnet will not stay glued to the plastic push stick.

The powerful magnet stays attached to the metal of the table saw, and pops out of the socket on the push stick. I have tried a few construction adhesives, but nothing has worked to this point.

Does Kreg have a fix for this? Or does some one else have a glue that will work!

I like the push stick but if the magnet feature doesnot work the push stick in not worth keeping.

You could also try a 2 part epoxy.
Hi Gregg, I can almost feel your pain--- none of my stuff is magnetic, aluminum or plastic:(
Just kidding. Anyway, depending on the plastic not much short of solvent glue will stick very long, including the CA's and epoxies. Problem there is the solvent glue won't stick to the magnet very well. Trying to drill a hole in it to put a screw through it will destroy the magnet, and probably a couple of drill bits in the process.
Probably your best bet would be polyurethane adhesive (gorilla glue) and let the magnet get buried in the foam. Good 'ol rubber cement may work also. Whatever you try to use, you will need to get in there and scratch or score up the surface of the plastic to give it a chance.
I have e Rockler aluminum stick wih magnet and mine popped off so I shot a dad of liquid nails on at so far so good
I have the same problem! Hope Kreg has a solution??
Trying the scratching and liquid nails route. I hope it will hold. Thanks
Seems like Kreg needs to change the type of adhesive they are using. The current one is NOT work too good.
Did the liquid nails work Greg?
I let it dry over night. So far it did. This weekend I will be working with the table saw more. I will see if it continues to holds up.
Great! I'd be interested in how it works out, especially since K.R. hasn't commented and I was considering purchasing one.Look fwd to your update.

Try "E6000" all purpose glue. It's clear and will hold anything. You could glue a 1976 Buick to a tree with this stuff. Dale
P.S. I make my own push sticks.....just as safe. For convenience I hang them up above the saw on the rafter stretchers. Very handy. Dale
