All the boards in this project are recycled 2x6, 2x4 and 4x4 that a friend removed from a deck he was re-building. All the pieces are joined with pocket holes using 2.5 inch screws. The bench is removable in order to reposition the planters.

Great job Rey.  If you need any hot weather for your plants.  I would be glad to send you some.  It is to be between 92 to 98 in Alabama today.  Hot Hot Hot. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the nice comments. The planter box on the right is not growing river rocks. There are some tiny cantaloupe seedlings just popping up in there along with one pepper plant and I'm using the rocks to increase the heat retention. We just don't seem to be getting enough sun/heat this summer. The box on the left has four tomato plants.

Excellent example of what can be done with used materials.  Especially like the design and jointery work.  The selection of plantings and settings of the piece  along with the craftsmanship could easily make this a focal point of any garden.  Rey, This planter set is a winner.

That is really nice, it has a Japanese feel to it, I also like that you have recycled the timber in the construction of your planter.  well done and thanks for sharing Rey.
