Anyone had a Kreg Joint Fail? Then why do we need the Kreg Jig HD?

I built my work bench out of 2x4s using regular Kreg screws and Joints and never had a problem. I also built my washer dryer stands using 2x4's with no issues. The rest of the people on here have built thousand of projects using regular joints. So what gives?  Sorry to be the turd in the punch bowl, but I think its just over engineering. Only my opinion. I welcome all comments.

can do.

Not to Toot My own horn, but i was thinking the other day that I want a Benchtop Router table... and this is what

i did

Wowwwww    I absolutely  """love"""  this router table.       Hats off to this man......

Does the wood know what's cutting it with a router bit???     Will anyone be able to tell the difference between wood cut on this table or a $500 one???    Nooo.....   this is kewl and reminds me to keep things in true perspective.

Kreg Jig has a DVD you can get used off Amazon.com that goes through routine of building a router table.

The fellow demonstrating recommends buying the top with the fence after making the cabinet.   Hmmmm I don't agree.  make your own.   Each time you use it you can "crow a little.""      (:

Here is a somewhat disassociated example that has been big in my life.   I took some classes (3 times) in British Columbia, Canada on how to fix your own lower back, neck and massage your acid reflux stomach down out of the diaphragm for relief without taking drugs or spending thousands on the aaaaaa  standare main stream method used here.   That was 20 yrs ago and it has worked in all cases and have shown quite a few others --- how to beat the present system for free.    Oh,   also how to easily release concussions and seized cranials.    hint.....    go to NASA and ask why they have the little red LED light in military first aid kits.

In the military red lights are used so you are not night blinded while reading maps or performing other tasks the require sight.

I know may find the placebo to quit effective for many ailments including arthritis pain. But not for me. I am not a believer.

Why buy a DVD??? All you need is board with a hole in it for the bit. If you have a bit with a bearing on it, you don't really need a fence, otherwise, a board with a cutout in the edge will do. Set it on a trash can or sawhorse.

Right, red is also used to help avoid detection as red light wavelengths don't travel as far as light at the other end of the spectrum... Notice any lights possibly visible from outside a ships skin are red with the exception of navigational lights. They are the only ones turned on during a darken ship situation.

Well I always thought the red light in the med kit was to stop bleeding as when you turn it on any red detail disappears.

Was I wrong all those NCO years? no wonder they tried to send me to Officers College.

Strike Swiftly!

I think it's cool that the new HD jig has red lights.

LOL.

My med kit in the 9th Infantry was the bandage with long tails.

You do have a valid point.  I am just one of those people that like the idea of over engineering.  Any way the swing set I build for my grand daughter has to handle my son at the same time.

Bigger is better...
