Hello.. I'm Derek from Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, married with 2 children (yes like the tv show ;) ).. Woodworking is one of my many hobbies. Novice in many aspects although after owning the kreg jig, I'm much more comfortable in attempting more projects. I'm a senior software programmer by trade although growing up, my family ran a construction business. I know a good bit about general construction although now I am starting to build furniture. Learning that different tools for a different trade. Look forward to learning here as the sketchup thread got my attention for designing projects. Helps with the budgeting for the stock and to see if what i'm thinking will work. Atleast on paper. ;)
Using the kreg jig i've built a few work benches, an audio stand and some storage cabinets for the garage. Learning something new on every project.

Hello to everyone. My name is Gene. I'm from Long Beach, CA. Just joined the "Kreg Community". I have been the pround owner of the Kreg K3 Master System since Nov 2009. I am a novice wood working individual. Just started learning the craft/art of woodwork. I have been "eaves dropping" on the Kreg Community Newsletter ever since. Very impressive site to get ideas and the how to's. Still a "baby" when it comes to the terminology and methods that comes with the territory. Glad to be part of it.

Hi, My name is Coby and I live in Northwest LA. I just bought the Creg single pocket jig to try out on the back yard deck that I am building. I specifically bought it for the railings. It is amazing how easy it is to use and makes the deck look great. I wanted to install Pressure treated plugs, but there are none availabe,so I opted for Cedar instead. I look forward to doing many more projects utilizing this wonderful tool.

Hi, I'm Erin and I live in Michigan. I'm a home improvement junkie, my husband and I are remodeling our house, and I bought the Kreg jig after reading lots of praise and doing lots of research.
I've never made pocket holes, before last week I never drilled a pilot hole, but tonight my workbench is almost finished.
I'm really enjoying how easy it is to use!

Hello, name is Leroy and i bought a Kreg jig to make butt joins while rebuilding a 1969 travel trailer. when replacing wood in the trailer there are many places where you can not get to the back - you can only work from the front. the jig works very well - my only problem is the clamp can not fit behind the wall in come places so i have to hold it by hand some time. you know how hard that can be - does any one know of a clamp that is small in the back - many times a clamp that is about 1 inch in the back would work great.

Hello everyone, My name is Danny Rogers, I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I used to do a lot of small projects here at home. Nothing big. I got the Keg jigs that I now own (Table top and the Jr.) I am getting ready to see how these work in making a rack for storage boxes in a garage. Not really something great just something to store some boxes and odds and ends and keep off the floor. I figured that the Kreg Jigs would make the joints that I need much easier than trying to do it free hand. I just wanted some new toys to play with. At least that is what my wife says. I hope to be able to do a lot more with the jigs and without making a few mistakes on my joints. Planning on making a couple of boxes for my CB radios to put them in the vehicles that I have. My big project is going to be when I do the remodel in our home on the Kitchen. I plan on making my own cabinets since they will have to be custom made. It is an older home and I plan on knocking out a wall and making a breakfast bar with the cabinets on the bottom with a row of cabinets hanging from the ceiling for the odds and ends. Hope to get alot of information off the site.

I am new to the Kreg jigs also, but I beleive that there is a screw hole in the Jig so that you are able to attach the Jig with a screw for the places that you cannot use a clamp. Happy Wood working.

My name is L E Gates, from Castle Rock, CO. I am fairly new to woodworking, althought I have worked at it for years.

There are two projects I am interested in making...1) A wine rack, roughly 3' X 3' with a place on top for a place for wine glasses and maybe a small drawer or two.

The other project is building a Fireplace that can house a 32 inch electric heater.

Any thoughts on either of the two projects would be appreciated.

Hello Members! I'm Mark, I live in Central New York. I was a metal machinist for 20 years before finding my true love of graphic arts,,,,,which kinda coincides too. I find working with wood very relaxing and rewarding. I've yet to embark on any projects worthy of mention,,,but I'm sure enjoying what I see from the members of the Kregs forum. My free time is limited so I try to squeeze in whatever time I can. I've recently purchased the master collection and I'm more than impressed with it from just playing around. Having a sign shop, I intend to make a rack for my 4'x8' substrates and I think the Kreg will come in very useful.
I also look forward to reading more about and learning from YOUR projects. It's nice to be aboard! :-)
