Thank you Ray.  I think all of you  and this site will help me learn the ins and outs and best practices of the Kreg jig.  I am looking forward to figuring it all out.

Hi, I'm Art.

I've been on the Carpentry side of the construction industry since 1986, mostly in the rough framing, siding and boxing areas.  I've done a little trim and finish work here and there, but have gotten the urge to focus more on the "pretty work."  I saw Chad's scrap lumber bench and thought it a great place to get familiarized with the Kreg Jig I just got.

My scrap heap had a couple 2x6's in it, so I sketched up a SketchUp model using them on the seat.  If anyone is interested, attached is a SketchUp model based on Chad's design with the substitution of a some 2x6 members.

Thanks to Chad for an efficient and aesthetically dramatic design which is simple to execute!

Hi everybodyt.

Hi, My name is Ray and i've recently just took up woodworking and i have to say using the Kreg Jig has been a lot of fun!!!

Hello,

I have been an owner of the Kreg Jig and Kreg Molding owner for about a month (with dreams) but have been reluctant because I have perfectionist tenancies. If I could get a push for some Adirondack chairs and a simple back seat filler for dogs I would be elated... any help is appreciated!!!!

Tim

Hi, my name is Diana and I live in Texas. I have done woodworking off and on for the last 15 years but five years ago I took a job that did not give me much free time. I am happy to say I am back to building wood projects. Most of my previous projects had been for outdoors but now I have taken an interest in building furniture for the inside of my home. I am excited about the Kreg Jig and look forward to building many more pieces with this tool and learning more about woodworking from the Kreg Jig Community.

Welcome Diana!

I am Rick, outside of Pixburd, which the locals call home to the Stillers.

I am an engineer and longtime serious remodeler, who bought into Kreg after seeing Gary Streigler's articles in Fine Home Building Magazine.  I used Kreg to build a fireplace surround in my family room, and now am building cabinets, bookshelves, and a window seat.

Hope to get some good feedback.  I have always said that the best thing about the web is the user forums.

Hello my name is Roger I live in a small town near Chattanooga Tn. and have a small shop 16' x 24' so i like to keep it simple. I have only been using the Kreg Jig for about 2 years and use it on every project i can. I think it is the easiest joint systems around. I like to make larger pieces like desk and other large pieces of furniture. I worked in the building supply industry for 30 years. I am a licensed electrician and will do small electrical jobs on the side. My main job for the last 5 years is working maintenance for the school system in the county i live in. I will probably retire from this job because i love doing maintenance. I have been married to a wonderful woman for the last 42 years and have 2 daughters and 3 grand children.

Hello everyone, My name is Matt I live in N.E. Ohio. I use my single car garage as my work shop, I have to keep everything neat and organized because some how I always get stuck working on everyone's car also. I took wood shop back in high school, but have done nothing with my "little" skills since. I decided to make a  small hanging shelf for my wife for her new office. That's when I got the bug again. I am still putting my workshop together but I got the Kreg master kit for Christmas. It makes projects very easy. I really enjoy this web page and some of the thing people build are amazing. They have given me some really great ideas. Though my little shelves are not as pretty as most of the work on your sight we all have to start some were right. Thanks in advance for all the help you folks have given me already. Matt

Hello, I'm Don and live in WV.  I haven't yet got a Kreg Jig, but in about a two weeks will have one (Birthday).  Anyway, I got interested in pocket hole joinery from various websites that show plans using the technique and decided I needed a kreg jig to get started,  :).  I have never used one, but am interested in getting started , so I figured I would search the web for info, videos and articles so that by the time I get it, I'll have a bit better understanding of its operation.  I look forward to posting some projects in the future and have been impressed with all the photos and projects from members on here.  Some very nice work!
