Has anyone put a project together with the idea of taking it apart from time to time?

I have an outdoor project that I would like to store inside during the winter.  I was thinking of using the Kreg Jig to put it together and then taking out the screws to break it down for storage.  Obviously, I don't plan to use glue in the joints.

How many times can I expect to be able to do this before I will compromise the joint?

I would feel better about using Minifix fittings personally.
I think the Kreg Jig would be perfect for knock down furniture... i wouldn't make a habit of taking it apart, maybe restrict it to 3-5 times total, etc. But for something like building a dorm loft for college, etc. it would be perfect! As long as you are careful to avoid stripping the screws you'll be 100% fine.
I tried making a couple of door stand brackets to stand the door on edge while putting in the hinge mortices. They were designed to be knock down but after a half dozen or so assembly/reassembly operations the wood just wouldn't hold any more.
For knockdown stuff I use t-nuts and cap screws.
I agree with everyone here. Softer woods especially only can take a few re-assemblies.
You might put super glue in the open screw holes while they are in storage, then when you re-assemble the items, the holes will be like new. Or you could take your Kreg jig and build a storage shed, so you don't have to dis-assemble them. What is the project that you want to make? 2 dis-assemble or not 2 dis-assemble, that is the question.
I think individually the amount of wood under the screw head makes each joint fragile. Collectively two, three or more are where the strength is gained. I don't think I'd go this route. As someone else already pointed out a much more robust joinery would be the way to go.
