the trick is to cut cut your miter on one board your pocket holes go in the other board then use shorter screws for instance if your stock is 3/4 use screws for 1/2 boards then line up the inside of the miter which will leave a small "point" that will have to be trimmed,i usually measure then trim before assembly just remember it will change where the outside corner is
hope this helps
also if using 3/4 boards the jig should be set for 3/4

If I understand what you are doing correctly, a typical flag display case is a 45-90-45 triangle. The 90 is not an issue, the jig is made for that. The two 45's can be done but from the outside of the case.
Is this the only way to create this angle joint? IF so, where can I find the plans to make the necessary jig?

David - Just re-edited the drawing to try and figure out what the jig setting should be... looks to me like it would be set at either 2-5/8 or 2-7/8"... not sure which though. The tip of the drill needs to hit the stock 3-3/8" from the end. The red dotted line is the centerline of the screw and the black dotted lines indicate the pocket. As you can see from the drawing, coming from inside the case is problematic because the 22-1/2 degree angle of the joint is too close to the 15 degree angle of the jig for the path of the screw to intersect the mating piece within a reasonable distance.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
