Kreg Owners' Community

My wife wants me to make a couple of window boxes for flowers and I was wondering if anyone has tried to use a Kreg jig on composite boards like the trek boards that lowes sells. I figure that these would last longer then any boxes that I made out of real wood, and what screws would you use.

Great idea, but my wife wants something with a routed edge or some sort of design on it, and you have to keep your client happy

Here is example how to keep wood boxes from rotting out.I put plastic liners in them so all you do is build 4 walls and set the liner on top of rim
The all ceder one was built last summer and what the owners are doing there is using 6 inch plant pots and setting them on bottom of planter and putting mulch around them

thanks for your ideas, after all these ideas I've been getting I think I'm going to go with a solid wood boxes with plastic boxes inside of them. I'm thinking about maybe making them with some sort of a raised panel in the front. I'll post pictures as I make them
The boxes we have right now are plastic, so all that Ihave to do is make a shell for them to fit down inside of
