Kreg Owners' Community

Hi everyone,
I am looking to build a dresser for my daughter. I have seen some nice plans, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to build on with the Kreg jig. I am looking for help and maybe a better plan.
Thank you for your help.

The simplest design I've seen is to build a cabinet and make a face frame just as you would for kitchen cabinets and use drawer runners for the drawers. The other thing is to use oak ply. If your dresser is 18 inches deep use a 36 inch piece of ply and run dados where your drawers will go and rip the ply in half. This will give matching dados for both sides. Insert your dust panels into the dado. You can use 3/4 ply for dust panels or use a router and run a 1/4 groove in 4 pieces of poplar and use the pocket screws to make the frame, insert 1/4 ply in the frame before securing the final piece for the frame. You can use slick tape for the sides where the drawer will touch the inside of the dresser. For the exposed plywood I would use 1/4 inch oak (or whatever would you're using) to band it with. The finished product looks much better than using veneer. For the back use a rabbitting bit to put a 1/4 inch piece of oak ply.
I got one for you and its all its all Kreg jig and easy to build take a look and let me now.
