Thanks James

I wonder why these instructions were not included with the K4.

Can I download a K3 manual?

Thanks again for the info.

Hello Greg!

This is from my K3 Instructional Manual and it explains the markings you are referring too.

I hope this helps you out in understanding the features of the Kreg Jig.

Thanks Again

You are a real Kreg Wizard

The Manual that came with the K4 is only about 5 pages long.

This is a real help.

Have a good one.

Here is a link to the PDF file for the manual. Please remember that this is the K3 and some things will be different cause both jigs are different. But there are a lot of stuff here that pertain to both jigs and will benefit you by filling in the gaps that are not in your K4 manual.

Kreg has ''lots'' of information available---

''peruse'' their website listings.

They have more information, than most people are aware.

If you are missing or need anything,

you can email Kreg---

contact their customer service support---

tell them what you need or want---

you'll get an answer faster than from any other business.

Their staff are knowledgeable and very helpful.

Thanks Kreg for your great customer service support.

I have many Kreg products---

they are great tools.

The warranty nearly expires before I can get an answer from some businesses.

They're the settings for the thickness of the wood you're joining.
First project of the year. Face frames for 2 cabinets I'm building. My very first cabinet last year came out perfect, this year not so good. I'm using 1x2 Poplar and course screws. The styles split when the screw went in. The only thing I'm doing different is using a new Makita Impact driver I got. Last year I used the drill/driver and had no spliting. Did I over drive the screws or did I just get a different quality of wood. I'm assuming Poplar is a soft wood so the course screws. Was that wrong? What did I do....?

When using a drill/driver, start with the lowest torque setting.

Gradually increase the torque setting, up until the screw seats firmly.

A quarter over-torquing of the screw, will result in the screw loosing the required grip in the wood.

Practice on a scrap piece of wood, adjust the torque, until the desired tightness is achieved.

Works for me.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
