I miss Holmes on Holmes.  I don't mind Holmes Inspection in a pinch...I guess when you're as busy as Mike Holmes you can't do everything.  On that note, I prefer Disaster DIY...Brian's hysterical.  Like Justin, watching Renovation Realities is like watching a train-wreck happen....I know it's gonna be bad, I know people are gonna get hurt....but i can't help myself, i NEED to see it

 Hi, Guys.

I like woodsmith, rough cut, and I do really miss Norm. I wish I could is the Woodwright shop. I  really like that guy.

The Woodwright is my favorite. I love to see the old tools and techniques. I use a few myself, but to buy these old tools you have to be a millionaire!
I too miss Norm's show. I enjoy woodsmith right now. The host is a little dry but they do give you some good infomation. Also yard crashers, bath and house crashers too, ( why can't I run into one of these guys at my local hardware store).

I like yard Crashers, if I saw him hanging out in front of a store he would be over my shoulders and on his way to my house. He would not even get those words out " hey what project are you working on".

Soon he would be working on my projects. LOL

my favorite is the woodsmith shop.  my idiotic PBS replaced it with rough cut, which is all but unwatchable.
By far, the Red Green show on PBS is the best home improvement show out there!!

I'm so disappointed that my PBS station decided not to run Norm Abrahms any more. I really looked forward to seeing him on a Sat morning,so much so,that I had my PVR programmed to record him.I have tried to get into Rough Cuts but Tommy Mac gets to me with "ok guys...right or whatever he comes away with. They can bring back Norm any time they like for me.    Ron Bain

My opinion, the best replacement for Norm would be George Vondriska at Woodworker's Guild of America http://www.wwgoa.com/. I wish he would get a show that he could do in his own style and it would be very good, there is no replacing Norm style though. I am currently making raised panel cabinets and George had an article in American Woodworker from Nov 2004 that I ordered a back-issue of and it is excellent.

I get Woodsmith shop on the Create channel and now they do carry the rough cut as well.  I do like some of the stuff they have on rough cut but he goes way too fast that you never really get the just of what's going on.  His "Bostonian" sense of humor can be a bit distracting as well.
