Whats is your biggest embarrassment in shop??????

I almost hate to mention this but I was cleaning my shop with my dust collector and cyclone only to notice I sucked up a dust bag that was laying next to miter saw. How embarrassing could that be. Come on admit you have one better than this. We all do stupid once in life time.

Building a platform for a deck, I had the outer frame all squared, you know diagonal measurements etc.  So I was marking outer edge of where the 2x6 would be placed.  I went one direction up and then the outer edge on the way back, needless to say after I looked at them they were all skewed - go figure outsmarted myself on that one!

LOL - would have taken awhile - the engines were sixteen feet long and weighed just short of two tons  ;)

Last year I was making a pet rail out of 1"x2"s and half inch dowels. I was using a guide block to drill the holes into the edge of each rail. About half way through, I was having trouble drilling to the depth I had marked on the drill with a piece of tape. I picked up the rail and pushed to get to the mark with the drill. I saw that I had an 8th inch to go. Then, BINGO, that's right that nice sharp brad point bit went into my palm. After wrapping my hand, I looked everything over. Then I saw my problem, my tape had moved a little bit at a time and I did not catch the error. Now I measure twice and drill once. Plus I use dirll stops now.
