Kreg Owners' Community

Just thought I would start a discussion on woodworkers real jobs. It would be fun to no if there are lots of professional people using Kreg Jig along with people  like myself a retired  construction worker.

U.S. Navy Musician for nearly thirty years, currently stationed with the Pacific Fleet Band in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Originally from North Carolina, my dad was in the Navy so grew up mainly in south Texas.

Like so many people I spent most of my life trying to do what I do to the best of my ability (especially as a musician), so now as I'm older I was looking for a new hobby and stumbled into woodworking.  I consider my dad a master cabinet maker, and now wish I could hang around him in his shop more!

Hi! I'm Kelly, a 30 year old stay-at-home mom (previously worked in marketing and trade shows) with a 20 month old son and another boy on the way! My husband and I are new to woodworking but addicted to making everything now :)
I'm Jim from a suburb of Houston called Richmond.  I am a commercial real estate broker in the Houston area.  Much of my woodworking in the past has been to repair broken things, including my house.  As the years go by, I find myself buying more and more tools that help me do a more professional job.  This is a great tool.  All I need to do now is to buy a table saw.  You can cut pretty precisely with a chop saw, but quite a bit more versatility with a table saw.

Wow Jim... What a small world!

I grew up in Rosenberg - Spent the first 22 years of my life there. I still have family in Rose/Rich and Needville area.

Well here we go!!   I am employed at Lowe's and am assigned to the Tool Department. We have the Kreg products and yes I own some of them---and actually use the jigs and etc on different projects.  I have had 4 years of high school shop class and a lifetime in the school of hard knocks. Made every mistake that can be made cept losing a finger in the saw.  Love the product, and one day when I retire will tackle bigger projects.

I am amazed at how simple the Kreg system works, It is a wonder that the product has not been out earlier in a different form,

Howdy to you all from Dothan, Alabama hope you can make it through the rest of the winter without too much damage,  Best of luck in your project.

Hi my name is Mike, my wife & I live in western NY state for the last 7 years after moving from northwestern NJ. We currently live in a western suburb of Rochester. I became interested in woodworking in high school but didnt pick it up as a hobby until 1997. I like building furniture, bookcases, dressers, desks, & tables. My next venture is going to be building cabinets for my wifes new kitchen.
Can't wait to see them

I drive a school bus full of 4 year olds So  a tablesaw is alot of fun gets my mind of the screaming on the bus.

retired  port engineer  for an offshore supply boat company . That worthless president has crippled this industry and we can thank him for our rising costs especially gas and diesel
You sure are correct on that issue. The man has no idea of the confusion and cost he has caused. He has never had to meet a payroll or get a job  done on time and under budget.  He is living in his own world and could care less about ours. Gas and diesel prices are so high that it is impossible to buy a truck,  program your fuel cost and come out anywhere near budget. Enough said.
retired carpenter and now have hung a shingle in front of my garage for any and all residential carpentry
