Anyone using the Kreg Miter Gauge?

Adaptive Cutting System

I really like the Adaptive Cutting System (ACS) and hope to buy it soon. My table saw really scares me as I have a bad knee that likes to buckle on me at inopportune times. I can just picture it…Continue

"I'm happy for you Deac. I hope to someday be able to afford the ACS. Let us know how it goes when  you start using it n a project. I'm really curious how well it can handle all of the normal cuts we do on the table saw. That's…"

"Thanks Michael. How easy is it to zero the thing? Want to know how that works at 90* and at other angles. I have also been looking at the Incra which is more expensive. Trying to decide which to get. But I am a big fan of Kreg and I really…"

"Hi I am using the Kreg miter gauge but not as a replacement for a sled . Mine's a fairly old one 5 years old I think. Their a good bit of kit ,but be wary when adjusting the plastic grub screws to fit the width of your track as their easy to…"

Anyone using the Kreg Miter Gauge?

I'm thinking about getting the Kreg Miter Gauge instead of building a sled for my table saw. I figure the miter gauge would have more uses and since the stock will ride on the saw table there is no drop off like with some crosscut sleds. And it should be lighter and easier to use than a crosscut sled. Not to mention more accurate and easier to cut angles than a sled would be.Is anyone using the Kreg miter gauge instead of a sled? I would love to hear your input.See More

"All I can say is give it a try to see if it is too heavy. If I was going t do what you are thinking I would get some wooden dowels (or something similar) and use the peg holes in the top to register it to the workbench top so that it is firmly in…"

"Hi Deac. I am assuming you can do that - https://www.kregtool.com/store/c74/individual-components/ But I'm not sure why as the mobile feature is a big part of why I want it. Being able to roll it over into a corner is huge. Having to…"

"Question:  Is this something you could buy the surface, track and saw  and then just clamp it to you regular workbench when needed, rather than buying the whole rolling table structure as well?"
