Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

Eric - Thanks for sharing your work. You don't happen to have the dimensions that you used for all the pieces to this do you? I am looking to build something for myself but don't really have the time or know-how to throw it together from scratch. Thanks -- Jon
Eric, I viewed the three photos of your project and I see alot of promise here. It shows that you definately have the ability to make a desk to be not only of quality but also well designed. You are taking into consideration the fact that a computer needs air to cool and then making the monitor area large enough for about anything you desire to use, but also enough room to expand to something even much larger. This is planning and shows that you are thinking your design ahead. I have seen many of which have been made that just do not work out well as they are built a certain size because that is what someone else has or a store offers this size and a thus is built without taking in all the considerations needed.
This is one of the wonderful things about wood, as you are not limited to a certain size or design. The ability to build your own without copying something is what makes you a craftsman and sets your project apart for others. I like your approach and looking forward to seeing the finished project. Thank you for sharing your work.
