What setup do I need to attach 2x material to 5/4 material?

Most of the guides I've seen for determining the setup for your Kreg jig show equal material. I am building a kids picnic table and want to use my kreg to attach the 5/4 top boards to 2x4 material.…Continue

I am building a work bench for a pilot friend of mine that will be in her hangar. It will hold a metal brake that weights 380lbs. Plus I will be building a shelf that will sit on the bottom shelf of…Continue

What's one interesting fact about you, your life, your garage, shop, or home?
I just got started in the summer of 2012. I had a used miter saw, used random orbit sander and an outside work bench made of pallets and a plastic table to work from. Only wood I had to use was pallet wood. Now I have a garage workshop with lots of tools. Still like to use reclaimed lumber but no longer limited to that. LOVE anything Kreg makes!

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…

Not Pleased With Pocket Hole Construction

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction.  I have considerable experience with conventional…
