Hi Al , I have a craftsman planner and jointer and the both have worked well for me , the planner will take stock up to 6 " thick and 13 " wide  !! I have run pine and oak through mine with no problems !!!   I am sure there are better ones out there , just depend,s what you want to invest in one , would also check on the price of extra blades, hope this helps and have a great day , JIM !!!

Hi, thanks for the comment on my cider chest.  Have since added decrative trim to the ends to dress up the square box look. Yep the wife loved it. The pocket system really made the project go quick as no wait time for glued sections. Just screw and go. Drawers were toung & grove to give it a good look. Be safe and enjoy.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
