Jay, just log in and saw some of the comment from you, Al Barale and Jame waller. Just want to say thanks partners. I've seen some of your work and the other guys, its awsome. Take care and God bless you all.
I agree it was great chatting with you and you are right it is a small world. I drove back and forth to Salem from Vancouver for about 6 months or so before my promotion to the Silo store in Portland.
As I said we really miss the area and try to visit yearly as we have many friends in the Portland area.
Thanks Jay for your kind comments concerning my shop. It is very comfortable to work in and I enjoy project time whenever I can get down there! I’m working on a dresser and hutch reuse project to match the headboard I built last month but I’m a bit pressed for time due to a very busy work schedule. I’ll post some pictures next week.
Jay, you should combine all of your '12 drawer chest' photos into one 'project' here on the community. Simply go to the 'projects' tab at the top of the page and then add individual photos to one central project so your viewers can see them all in one place and we can more easily feature your project. Well done, great project!

Tim, anytime, I'm here to help. I hope the stuff helps and I can send more photos if you need them or answer any question for you. I'm sure once you get into it you will figure it out. Thanks again for the nice comments.

Jay - I cannot thank you enough. I just hope that my 12 drawer chest comes out as good as yours. You are a master of the craft. Thanks again for the information and the drawings.

Thank you very much Tim for the complement. I'm sorry to say that I do not build from a plan. I just receive a size and go from there. However since you like the chest and making one for your wife, I will be more than happy to draw up a sketch as to how I built it. I can give you the rough outside measurments and using 13/16" stock you can add and substrace using this formula and should not have any problems . Basically it is all alder stock glue up from random widths. There is a piece of 3/4 inch birch ply in the bottom of which I used for strength to mount 4 100# rated casters that I hid using a skirt. There is some 4" 3/4" rips of ply for ribs to attached the face frame and side panels, and some 3/4" ply rips for a slide rack. The chest has 3 sets of four diffferent size graduated drawers that have dovetailed jointry. The drawers ride on full extension ball bearing slides. The chest is all Kreg Jig pocket jointry and all joints are glued. There is no nails in the chest.
i can complete a drawing for you in the next couple days and get it to you. It would be my pleasure to see you build your wife one. Keep in mind that one reason that I do not use any plan as when I build a special piece I build it as a "one of a Kind" Makes it more special that way although it might look the same as another it is unique in its own way. Thanks again and I will put a plan on your page in a couple days.

Hi Jay,
Thanks for your kind words , but I've only been at this for about 2 years now, I do beleive I'll be the one doing most of the learning.
I can tell from your work and your comments that you will be another resource if I have a question, Thanks again
