<p>Actually since it lays flat on the table saw or router table no problem with flexing, and yes it will do small pieces very safe as you can attach a Gripper in seconds and control the piece and the off cut as well. The only thing in the manufactures instructions is to tighten the knobs after adjusting the angle and do not cut with just using the detents to keep the angle set.</p>
