I recently purchased the Rip Guide and have used it for 4 or 5  8 ' long rip cuts on plywood and MDF. I am somewhat disappointed with the quality of the tool. The fence which is plastic is not square to the guide bar. The anchors that clamp the base to your saw does not hold well because it is mounted again to plastic so when you tighten the the mounting brackets it begins to bend the mounting plate. Overall if I were in the market for another guide I would not purchase the Kreg Rip Guide. They should stay with metal fixtures as they originally had on so many of their earlier tools.

I agree 100% with Clay, the tool doesn't list the saws it is compatible or incompatible with and so I ended up wasting money on an item that doesn't work for my Dewalt cordless or my Skill corded circular saws.  These are two major brands that I would have expected the Rip Cut to work with.

I own quite a few Kreg tools and most of them are pretty good.  Kreg should refund the money to anyone who purchase this worthless piece of crap.  First you have to have a saw that fits.  And then try ripping any over a few inches and you are asking for kick back.

Mine is sitting on the shelf covered in dust.

I've used it and its not bad. A zero tolerance plate for the saw would be better.

Thanks for the advice, I was going to buy one as they look very impressive and I'm

a novice so will hold off until I get some positive feedback.

DANIEL, I purchased the Rip Guide as well...I have found that if you cut slow that it works okay. Oh yeah, double check the measurement setting too.
