Liam’s third project is somewhat down-scaled in appearance , but his heart makes up the difference in Ace’s. An auction style fundraiser to benefit law enforcement officers was held in honor of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Even though Liam had no money to donate he decided that he would offer what he did possess, which is his developing skill utilizing the Kreg Pockethole Jig. He chose to build a telephone stand inspired by the Stickley #609 plant stand, because of the speed that was required to ensure availability for the auction. As Liam’s dad, I am so proud of his growth; not only in his woodworking ability, but in his character building. There are many adults that don’t have sensitivity toward the needs of others. Once again the Kreg Tool Company has contributed unknowingly to the growth of a boy into a man. The lessons learned through the time spent with a child, the faint smell of wood dust and the hum of a drill remain ongoing to who knows where. Thanks again Kreg for your simple, but powerful tool.

What a fantastic project, for a fantastic cause! Great job, Liam! The stand itself is elegantly simple. I really like it. Well done.
