I remember when I was a kid I would always look forward to the Sears and JC Penny wishbooks. I would spend hours going over the pages of all the cool stuff, toys, musical instruments, women's underwear sections. Oh wait, I never did that! ;-)

Recently I got the big Grizzly catalog and it threw me back to those days as a kid. I immediately dropped all the other mail on my desk and went over to the couch and began flipping through those magical pages. I was whisked away to my dream shop where certain tools from the catalog lived. I imagined myself working with each one of those tools making something. I don't know what but I was making it. Maybe it was a guitar, probably was as I learned from the big wish book that Gibson uses a lot of Grizzly's equipment. Anyway as I continued to flip through I also discovered that Grizzly also has other tools than just the beautiful big ones. I liked this, It actually made me feel like I can do business with them, lord knows I'll probably not be able to get any of the bigger tools anytime soon.

After about 20 minutes of my wife yelling my name at the top of her lungs, I finally came out of my bubble. It was a wonderful vacation I just had and go back there every now and then much to my wife's dismay. Today, i recieved the Kreg fall catalog and did the same thing. Oh if I could only win the lottery.

LOL Same here Paula, I remember when they had these electric guitars in there with built in speakers. Long before the ones they have out now. I sooo wanted one of them but could never afford them. Oh, and race tracks! I loved the slot car race tracks. The big Tyco Magnum 440 GPX with over 40 feet of track, that was the pinnacle of race tracks. *sigh*

Kreg Fall CAtalog? I didn't get one and I just spent another $150 with them! I remember the sears and Penney's catalogs too. We were too poor to order anything but it sure was fun to look and hope.....

Well, not sure it's actually a "Fall" catalog. it's their main catalog I think but it had "Fall 2010" printed on it, so i guess I made that association.

I too rmember the Sears Wish Book. My brother, sister & I would all circle what we wanted with a different colour of crayon so my parent would know what each one of us wanted. If only I could still be satified with a $3.00 toy.
