Lynn, thank you for a very nice comment. Yes it is solid alder with the exception of a 3/4' birch ply bottom added for strength to support the 4 hidden casters that are under it. There are 3 of 4" wide strips of birch 3/4" ply hidden on the inside connecting the face frame to the sides and some additional strips of same as a slide rack.  I  want the chest to last a life time.  Looking forward to seeing some of your projects posted on the community site.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
