Hi Adrian,

Thanks for the comment on fumed oak cabinet I just finished up. You asked about the oil finish I used -- it is made by General Finishes and is called Arm-R-Seal I have been using it for several years now, and it is the best finish I have found to bring out the wood while also being just about goof proof. I use a small soft clean cloth pad or a felt pad to wipe it on, and the oil penetrates while the urethane protects the surface. I usually do about 4 to 6 coats and just lightly touch sand between coats with 360 sandpaper. Give it a try and I think you will like the way it looks and protects.

Hi Adrian, sorry I didn't get a chance to exchange information in chat last night before everyone had to retire for the night.  Thanks for the invite as a friend and I am looking forward to being able to exchange ideas and project information on here.  I see that you are a recent member here so welcome aboard.  There is a lot of very nice and knowledgable people on here that will help you learn a large amount of information in  a short time.  Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
