Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

Tim,
I used these plans here except I modified the bottom area to fit a drawer and made a base to make it taller.
I didn't really have any plans for the bottom portion/base I just basically cut out a modernish look I liked and kreged it up, like a cabinet base. I wanted the cabinet to sit taller.
The drawer slides are 160lb rated. I used a 3/4" back and front, the sides are 1/4 inch ply, the back and front are going to support the most weight, so i kregged and glued those. Probably over did the back of the drawer, I think i used 8 - 10 kreg screws.
I used walnut ply for the top, edge banded in maple, and for the bottom base I used maple 1x6 I purchased from Home Depot. One of the solid woods they sell.

There are alot of posts on the forum and a lot of good ideas , i suggest signing up for audio karama so you can see the images ect... it will give you an idea of how to easily make modifications.
I also made a mate for it! Pretty basic on that one, I just wanted to make sure the player had room, and amp. Except for this one i used the shelf pin system, so i could move the middle shelf.
