What's one interesting fact about you, your life, your garage, shop, or home?
Well recently my 40 yr old table saw (Delta Rockwell cabinet) lost a bearing. I went online and got the schematic for the whole saw. I could not figure out how to remove motor, so I called Delta. The gentleman I talked too knew my machine, did I tell you it was 40+ years old. :>) Well he told me what to do and it went well.
I found new bearings online for more that $30 a piece. I decided to try and remove then. I had no success. S I decided to take it to a motor re-builder. He was an elderly gentleman. When I brought it in, he looked it over and went right to his bench and after some time removed and installed new ones. Here's the best part, he charged me $16 for both bearings and his time. That's right $16 for everything.
I now have a rebuild saw and it sounds so nice and quiet. Oh while I had it apart I lubricated everything and it works so nice now. Easy to lower and raise and tilt. This save me a whole lot of money for now.
Oh while I was without a saw I decided to look at new one's. Can you say sticker shock! I really liked the Saw Stop. Safe and well build. The salesman at Woodcraft said they were selling 6-7 a week. AS I was standing there a former co-worker walked in and told me his friend bought one 2 weeks prior and he was there to buy one and he did.
A new saw may be in my future. But, not just yet.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
