I inherited my saw about 10 yrs ago, and you're right. The concept is good, but it lacks some fine tuning capabilities. It could be a bit beefier as well. My trouble has been with the SMT. I'll go through the adjustment procedure to get the travel parallel with the blade, and the pivoting fence perpendicular to the blade, but I still get a slight taper. I think I am getting some movement/flexing when cutting that I just can't see. I'll start looking for a new saw as well. I am just getting into this woodworking stuff so I don't have many skills, but I can tell that using a decent tablesaw would go along way towards making nice furniture, shelving, etc..

Yes, Darrell Waltrip has a Honda dealership just down the road. It's a nice little town just south of Nashville.

Thanks and welcome to the Kregs community. The table saw has been with me for about 10 years. Bought it at Lowes at the time. I had the 4 X 8 sheet for the miter saw cabinet cut into smaller ( the sizes I needed) pieces at Lowes. Then I can handle the smaller items like the face frame and shelfs that I will put in tomorrow myself. I can get fairly square cuts, but I did notice the fence is not always square to the blade. I have worked on it some and have to check it before every cut. The concept of the saw is good. I think for what I paid not too bad, but will start looking for another table saw this summer. Perhaps a used delta unisaw or a newer but reasonably priced one. Good luck building. I think I might try a End Table next.
Hey isn't Franklin Tn. the home of Darrell Waltrip?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
