I am building a small trunk for a military friend to put some belongings in. I have made legs out of ash hardwood and will make the sides out of 1/2” or 3/4” Baltic birch plywood. The legs are 1.5” thick by 2” wide. So since I’m drilling pockets in…Continue

David I have two books that are worth looking at and or using as reference. They are Cabinet Making and Mill Work by John L Feirer it is the 5th edition . The publisher is Glenco Publishing from Mission Hills, Calif the date is 1988 This one is near 1000 pages and deals with not only cabinet making but mill work as well..
The better one is: MODERN CABINET MAKING by William D.Umstattd. It was published by The Good Heart-Willcox Co published date of 1996. This is good reference book and just shy of 800 pages. Both are hard backed and look good on the libary shelf too. It is pretty detailed as to building cabinets in the modern day world.
Hope this helps. jay
