I have no shop, I live in a 700 square foot apartment in Orange County, CA and all of my woodwork is done on my approximately 100 square foot patio... some day I'll graduate.

Sorry we did not respond to your instant message as we had just left the computer.  However, we did want to respond to you about your inquiry.  With a small shop like you have space is a very big commodity and you have to be very picky about the things that you add.  A miter saw would be a good addition but they do take up quite a large amount of space.  You will probably want to get a router shortly since this will greatly increase the amount of projects you can finish and put that decorative touch on. 

One thing that a lot of our customers use in a smaller shop is our Klamp Table top to allow you to ensure your pieces are getting joined completely square.  What they do is only purchase the top and then they hinge it to the wall allowing you to have it swing down out of the way when not being used.  Some of our customers have taken it step further as well and use this surface as a router table as well. 

I think these items should allow you to have most of the tools you will need to get the majority of projects completed including building a larger shop :).

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters.  What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much.  Thanks.Continue
