Hi Adam. Sorry we missed your chat question. Generally, you will be unable to attach your saw if its tool plate is beveled. All you need to do is apply mild pressure to hold your saw in place. You should be able to obtain this before the black of the plate starts to rise. You can also cut a shim piece out of scrap wood and use it to square off the front of your plate so you can tighten in down more.
