Needed a nice, solid workbench for my Kreg Jig projects. 2x4 base with hardwood top and shelf. Finished it off with Minwax Polyshade oak gloss.

My wife picked my up some peg board from a garage sale, all I need is a stool and she will never see me inside the house again.

I said "left" twice in that reply, of course I mean "on the right" of the page is a lot of links to explore.

I have downloaded all the free plans from Kreg's website for future use. I can print them out when I'm ready to build it to use as reference.

Wow, I am late to the party.  Thanks James.

The links on the left of the page leads to all kind of good stuff including free plans from Kreg's website you can download in PDF format and save to hard drive for future use including printing out a hardcopy to use while building the project. When you go Kreg's website you have to register (free) to be able to get the plans. To save you a few mouse movements, click on link below...

...but be sure to check out all the links in the sidebar on the left.

It's one, 3/4in hardwood ply.  I wasn't aware there was a Kreg plan for a workbench.  Where is it found?

Didn't want to use the Kreg plans for your first bench? Nice job on the bench. Is that a one layer top or two?

Hey thanks for posting the plans, James.  I was desperately looking for the plans I found (I actually built it from my memory of what I saw a while back).  It was a two day build using Kreg holes and some countersunk deck screws (seen in picture on the legs.

I hope to get a side mount vice and build in a benchtop Kreg clamp.  Oh, and maybe a peg board.  Slowly but surely it will be filled, but first I must buy some dog food for the puppy!

Now that I have looked at it more, it resembles my first workbench I built about 4 years ago. It came from a plan I got from....

EAA Chapter 1000 Standardized Work Tables

.....and it looked like this.....

...and it is still in use today.

Looks really good, Justin!

Any plans for attachments like a vice or bench dog holes? Maybe a mattress and pillow for top and bottom for guest (inlaws).

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
