Built this as a surprise for my husband. Used the jig to join the supports mainly.
About half the wood was reclaimed from construction site dumpsters.

Thanks again for all your help. However I do have two more questions, what is your measurement from the top shelf to the peg board, or the top of the waist level shelf to the open shelf where the paint can is sitting?  Also how did you get the shinny work top, did you sand or paint?

No, I used nail gun with 2.5" nails, and it holds fine.  It's very sturdy with no wobble whatsoever.

Thank You very very much Angie, I have been going over and over these plans to figure out using the kreg and if I need pieces or not.  So you didnt have any problems when attaching the front legs to the waist level shelf with the kreg screws getting in the way?  Again thank you very much and it looks very very nice

I did follow the plans, but made some adjustments to the height of the lower shelf, and shelf ontop of peg board due to what we wanted to use it for.  If you have the plans from Handyman Mag., it is when I attached parts D to part B, and also the 2 end G parts to part A.  You could use the jig to attach all of the part G's.  I also used it to attach the backer boards in step 8 for the peg board.  Good luck with the project.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
