The drawers are held only by the face. I thought of adding a smaller box between the two based on clearance to drain. However, this setup without the smaller box is quite sturdy.

I am so glad to see this. I am going to have to do the same thing with the bottom drawer of my vanity. I thought I was crazy for thinking I could do it this way... so I have put it off for weeks! I think I will go finish it now!
Is there anything connecting the two drawer boxes except the face?

The drawer is split for use as a vanity. I was going to use two sets of slides, but found one worked well. There is room for the addition of another smaller box between the two. This is used in a half bath.

I was wondering the same thing about the drawer. Let's hear the story! Also, the shelf on the bottom... or is that the top? IT looks like it has panels?
