I love General Finishes stain.  I just used some on a conference table that's made out of cherry and it did very well with no blotches.

This was done with General Finishes latex rosewood stain. Its a little harder to work with than oil stain but I'm happy with it in the end. Used hand rubbed MW poly over the stain.

Good job on staining the maple, it can be very hard to work with.

I know laminate surfaces have improved in recent years, but its hard not to use granite or some other solid surface on top after putting all the work into it. I decided to build this project after seeing vanity prices at the big box stores. I would have had to spend upwards of $700 for a 36 inch vanity of decent quality. The base came in at just over $200 when I was done.

Bob, this very nice.  I like the color of the wood work and the stone top.  Looks like there is alot of storage in the vanity and makes for a nice size for a small to medium sized bathroom.  The doors and drawer fronts lend to a rich looking cabinet.  Very nice work Bob and thanks for posting your work

Thanks - this is my first attempt at something like this. Face frames are pocket hole joinery - the doors and drawers were done on a router with shaker cope and stick bit. These are my first doors. Liked the finish project so well I made a matching mirror.

Nice work!!! this is beautiful!!!  Did you use pocket holes to make the door frames or some other method?

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
