Leslee, this is a great project. I have since wired it with a single switch and an outlet. I like the fact that these box fans don't have to run full blast. It will give a nice breeze on me while I am working without stirring up too much dust. Use the idea, that's why I posted it!
What a neat thing to build. A woodworker's weekend project for the shop. Those box fans really do move air around. I really need something like that I wished I thought of it. Could I use your idea JL Wood for my shop? Please let me know. Thanks for sharing your neat idea.
I had seen this done at the Illinois State Fair in an expo building. They used three fans, but I thought for my shop two would suffice. I pondered this for about 5 years before building. You are right, now is the time!

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
