I made it with the rounded top and hand holes so my daughter could carry it around when she was a toddler, and the rounded top make it safer if she tripped with it, which she did many times and didn't get hurt. I have since made on for the granddaughter and she would push it around before she could even walk then climb up onto it and try to sit on it. She is four know and uses it everyday  to brush her teeth and get things off the counter. One of the best things to make a toddler on up. I am 300 lbs and it hold me no problem.

Nice, clean design you have. It gives me an idea for making a mud room bench. It would just be bigger.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
