I agree, a fancier top would be great if this were a table or even a stool for sitting on. This project was build as a stool for my vertically challenged wife to use to stand and walk on when cleaning a machine she uses at work. :-)

i like the look of this but would you think it may be better with a routered edge on the table top,
ie. some sort of design.individual choice of course, but now getting away from a nice job.
