Not as big a project as most, but I enjoyed it, and it didn't fall apart! I've got my start now, so on to bigger and better things!

Hi John, The pieces of walnut and maple were just glued together to make up a small panel for the top. After it was made up, I screwed the top to the aprons and the legs. If you want the pattern I can e-mail it to you. It wasn't difficult, and the results look like you know what you're doing, which, in my case is a real stretch. I get lots of compliments on this piece. I also made a three step stool for a friend to enable her dogs to climb to the bed by themselves. The kreg jig makes it so easy.

Did you glue and screw the pieces you used to make the top, or did you just use the pocket screws?  Thanks.

Brenda,
Sometimes, making something small is more difficult than large. Like playing a slow and soft piece of music. Your step stool is a beautiful thing, really. Very inspiring.

Beautiful stool! Love the darker plugs and center strip! How did you craft the edges of the center strip?

great use of the plugs for adding to the visual of the piece as opposed to hiding them :)

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
