Michael, Thanks you for the nice comment about the inlay table. It is one of the more fun things that I do in some of my custom work. I enjoy making something stand out from the normal look and an inlay is just one way to acheive this.
You want to talk about being a craftsman, the work you do is outstanding and that is what I call craftsmanship of the highest degree. When you can take an ordinary object and turn it into a work of perfection is being a craftsman and an artist in one. You work with bigger projects than I do and what I have seen in your work is a task that involves bigger challenges. Working on a large scale makes it harder to accomplish a high level of being perfect takes a high level of skill.
The eye detects mistakes easier and you are able to execute exactness in your work quite well. I saw this on the grand staircase you posted earlier and again on this recent project you posted. My friend you are doing some exceptional work and projects to be very proud of. You have mastered carpentary and being an artist at it as well.
