this is my first attempt at a major project, it took just over 9 months in my spare time. It is 10 feet wide and the 4 large drawers hold over 400 dvd's . The tv is a 54" Plazma flat. Every piece is made from 3/4 inch pine, even the v board in the back. The drawers are 3/4" all finger joint construction. The cabinet doors I made on a table saw.

William, I never used toung oil before this project...i hand rubbed each coat (15+) and hand sanded between each coat. I hope the finish is hard and durable...time will tell.

I think I read an article one time about linseed oil and toung oil being basically the same product and finish. ???

Mike that is a great entertainment unit. Love the finish. I have never used tung oil. Does it dry to a hard finish?  Used Linseed oil once, it was a beautiful finish but I did a lot of rubbing. How is Tung oil applied?

Miter Saw Recommendation 1 Reply

I’m looking to upgrade my miter saw. I’m willing to invest a good amount of money to get one with the precision pocket hole joinery requires. Would anyone like to offer a recommended model?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
