My shop recently had to undergo a serious rearranging to fit the new SawStop in. As part of it, new wooden shelves were installed around the ceiling in the back of the shop to hold more weight. A paint and finish cabinet was built and added to the back right corner. New shelf supports were added to my hardware drawers above the workbench in the back right.

Hey man! Thanks, it's a work in progress. Yeah, the SawStop is the bees-freakin'-knees. The last few nights after finally getting her all trued up and tuned, I've sat there with the victory beer and just waxed and polished it. Man, it's amazing. Belt drive, very quiet but powerful, even on 110V. The cast iron tables are milled impeccably. My Woodpeckers 36" straight edge with the lights out and a SureFire flashlight showed NO bleed. I mean these babies are TRUE flat. The T-Glide fence is super smooth and very accurate, with very little deflection when you lock it down. And the 52" rails are ridiculously big. It gives you a roughly 50" rip capacity, which means you can rip cut a full sheet in half without any fuss or muss. Cutting plywood panels on it is a cinch. The adjustment action is great, DC is great on it, especially with the overarm shroud hooked up. I really like the insert plate and the mechanism for the riving knife and splitter assembly - you just turn a handle 110 degrees and it releases. Drop in the riving knife and turn the handle . . . done. I'll post some video one of these days, maybe doing something stupid like cross-cutting a full sheet on it. Hope you're doing well -- got anything big in the works lately?
Nice shop you got some cool toys. So is the sawstop all they say it is?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction. I have considerable experience with conventional…
