For the sideboards, I used 2 pocket holes per board, 4 total. If you're using straight 2x10"s then 3 would be plenty. The reason I used 4 was because I joined the 2 boards, the wood was cheaper then using the 2x10"s
I ended up using the 2" screws for any connections to the 4x4. 2 1/2" will be fine. I'm not sure I really needed them, but after almost a year, it's held together strong. I'll send an updated picture once I replant this weekend.
Ronald - I'm building a ground level raised bed garden similar in construction to your herb garden. I have a couple of questions:
1) what did you use to keep the 4x4 corners proud of the screwed in side boards? (many times I have issues with the board wanting to walk in the direction you are driving the screw)
2) I'm attaching 2x10's to the posts and I'm using the large 2-1/2" #14 heavy duty screws. Do you think I will need 2 or three screws at the attachment points?
Thanks,
Mike

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
