Hi Jay I just put a clear coat of lacquer on it and here is a link to the drawing of the bed plans on Goggle's 3D warehouse.

Kurt, the bed looks great!  Did you stain and varnish?  I would like to take a peak at the sketchup plans if you still have them.

Side boards are 1x8s and everything in select pine besides the birch plywood on the head and foot board. I have Sketchup plans for this bed that I've made if you have Sketchup and would like them.

Kurt I like the bed. It looks nice. My wife is wanting me to make a bed for my daughter. I made a platform bed for one daughter but like this style. What type of wood did you use and what size is the side boards?
